Strengths and weaknesses as teacher
Strengths:
-Don't be afraid to be silly but always go positive
-point out what is important, say things are cool that you're learning about and they will think its COOl too.
-It's ok to admit the teacher messes up to!
-make a BIG DEAL of good behavior
Weakness:
-Be FIRM
-Talk more dramatically and at their age level
-Right off the bat, don't take his crap and move it down two clips
-Take away 5 minutes of recess
First Grade Fast Finishers: (FF last a couple weeks)
"What's in the bag" how many cubes left in the bag if 4 is written on the brown bag and you pull out 3 cubes? Ex: change up the numbers.
Establish Noise levels:
Silent-no talking
Quiet-whisper
2 VITAL RULES
Always make sure students know what you expect and tell them what to do when they finish.
