More tips from Miss. Butler

Management Tips

1. Students get to move their clip up when they have good behavior.
2. Giving each table points for being ready to listen and being on tasks.
3. Having the entire class earn marbles to win a prize.

-Have the students practice how to walk in the hallways if they don't do it right the first time.
-Change the students seating arrangements monthly. (more if need be)

Miss Butlers Tips

Here are some tips I learned in my 1st-grade field experience!

Classroom Management Tips
1. Teacher says 1,2,3 eyes on me... students say 1,2,3, eyes on you!
2. Teacher says "Hands on top"...students say everybody stop!
3. Have a student show the other students how to quietly line up.
4. Have all of the students use the restroom before recess. It eliminates a lot of wasted time.
5. Teachers that complain they don't have enough time in the day need to cut down on all the transition times and have the students move quicker.

Materials
1. Have the students get new pencils, markers, etc QUARTERLY so that way the materials don't get lost or ruined early in the year.
2. Make sponges filled with glue in containers to help control the mess of glue.
3. Have the teacher sharpen pencils only.
