  • The student will be able to understand basic rocks and minerals (sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic). Some of them will be more rare than others. I want them to go outside and now have a greater understanding of how certain rocks are formed and why? Also to show the relevance of these rocks today in our time.
  • Students need to learn this information that will help them identify things later in a science class. Once children know how certain rocks are formed they will understand the concepts of erosion, soils, and how many different types exists in Utah especially.
